Since New York Regional Interconnect, Inc. announced its proposed project in
March of 2006, residents along the proposed route have become more aware
of energy issues including conservation and alternative generation sources. This
new Radio Free Hamilton feature will collect news on these issues and also

McHugh Wants Numerous Hearings on NIETCs
Congressman John McHugh, whose district includes the towns of Hamilton
and Brookfield, has called on the Department of Energy to hold formal
hearings in every congressional district included in plans to create national
interest electric transmission corridors.
