Slater Brothers Entertainment has announced the dates for the fourth annual Hamilton International Film Festival. It will be held Aug. 2 through 5 next year. They are also accepting submission of short films and features. Early bird submission fee (by Jun. 5) is $25; regular entry (by July 5) is $35.

Mural Dedication Set

Purchased with funds raised by the Friends of the Mural and the community, the mural depicting the early days of Hamilton by artist Lee Brown Coye now officially belongs to the Village of Hamilton. The historic mural that hangs in the post office will be dedicated to the memory of Jon Leslie Cheshire at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 23. Weather permitting, the dedication will be followed by a reception in the gazebo at the Village Green.
