Meet & Greet for Dr. Herbst

Hamilton's Farmer's Market is always the best place this time of year to see people you haven't seen in a while, catch up the issues of the day and, oh by the way, shop for good produce.

Today, it was also the best place to meet the First Family of Colgate, who have just moved to the village. Dr. Jeffrey Herbst, his wife Sharon Polansky and their son Spencer spent part of the morning at the market. They were accompanied by Mayor Sue McVaugh and trustees Jin Bona, Margaret Miller and Russ Lura.

Village folks will have another opportunity to meet Herbst when he is the special guest at an upcoming Hamilton Forum gathering.

Herbst will be officially installed at Colgate's 16th president in early October.
