Knights Clipped by Oriskany;
Face R. Springs Wednesday
Three Hamilton pitchers tried to tame the bats of
Oriskany Monday night, but to no avail. The Emerald
Knights yielded 14 hits that Oriskany converted in a 10-4
victory.
Among Oriskany’s 14 hits were four doubles and a home
run.
Don Philhower started for the Emerald Knights and
went five innings. Kinnon Nolen-Finkel pitched the sixth
and Jack Sullivan finished up for the Knights.
Hamilton’s Tyler White had three hits Monday. Carson
Browning had two.
The loss moves Hamilton’s record to 7-9 overall and 1-4
in league play. Coach Joe LePage said that Hamilton’s
record against other Class D schools is 7-3, a mark
important to the committee seeding sectional
tournament games.
Hamilton is at Richfield Springs Wednesday and home
against Otselic Valley Friday.
